Hey Girl!

My name is Jasmin.  I'm a homegrown Atlanta, Georgia Peach with Jamaican roots. My passions are my faith, family, travel, music and HAIR! 

​

From styling Barbie dolls as a little girl to experimenting with hair color on my mother I have always loved having my hands in hair!

​

In high school, I would often do hair for family and friends and deep down I knew that I wanted to be a hair stylist.  But when the time came to make a decision after high school, I decided to go to college to pursue a career as an English teacher. 

​

In 2011, I graduated from Georgia State University and went on to become a high school English teacher with the DeKalb County School System.   I was full of hope and great ideas about what I could accomplish with my students... only to find after 3 years of teaching that it just wasn't for me.

​

In 2014, I started dating my now husband and he could immediately sense that I did not enjoy my job. He asked me: "Why would you get up everyday to do something that you don't love? Go do what you love and stick to it." That firm yet loving support encouraged me to ignore my insecurities about starting over in a new career and go for it!

​

In 2016, I earned my Cosmetology diploma from Atlanta Technical College and embarked on my journey as a full time licensed hair stylist. I currently work at T Oliver Hair Studio, an upscale hair salon in Peachtree Corners, GA.  As a salon, we pride ourselves on working with hair of all textures, curl patterns and lengths and educating our salon guests about how to care for their hair.  We use quality products and tools and provide customized treatments with each service so that each salon guest can reach her healthy hair goals.

 

I can now say that I LOVE what I do everyday and I view it as a privilege to help women to look beautiful and feel confident.
